About

Who is T?

Hero of all sorts seeking social change

Born and raised southerner from Tennessee (I’ve got a soft spot for Appalachian music).

Wanting to be a hero of my own, my curiosity has lead me to become an multi-talented creative. My adventure started when I captured heroes on my university campus for The Daily Beacon. Later, I honed my graphic design skills after realizing the potential design does to change the way people behave or think. Ever since, I’ve been battling crimes against bad design and helping those in need.

Currently in the SF Bay Area to learn new skills and have a bigger impact in social good. Communities I’m with: UTK LGBTQA+ Alumni Council, Lesbians Who Tech, Designers Guild for Justice. Some volunteer projects I’ve helped with: OperationHelporHush, Civisol, Hookup.

Skills

my toolbelt

“I’m not sure, but let’s try it!”

I love learning new skills to adapt to any problem needed to be solved. I have a variety of skill sets from my background in marketing agencies, freelancing for clients, and working at two startups. I want to wake up knowing my designs have simply made peoples lives easier. I tend to reflect back and will analyze where my projects can be improved upon.

Hobbies

what I love

I’m a quick learner and always eager for continuous improvement. Aside from doing designy things, I’m found playing competitive badminton (looking for a women’s doubles partner!), youtubing “how-to” videos, attending design and tech events, analyzing books in bookstores (sometimes reading), and geeking out over punny movies and gifs. Everything is awesomeeeeee! Everything is cool when you’re part of a team!

I love to understand how things work so I have weird talents. I can knit patterned scarves, do professional jump roping tricks, play tons of sports, play bass guitar, teach young girls how to play bass and knit (not at the same time, thats dangerous), talk about book designs all day, play expert mode on DDR, and I’ve taught myself how to dance from youtube videos.
